Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT will bring two special liveries to Sebastien Ogier's and Kalle Rovanpera's cars at Rally Finland next week as a celebration for their success in World Rally Championship.
The Japanese car brand had announced earlier this year that they want to honor Ogier and Rovanpera by producting two special editions of Yaris, the GR Yaris RZ Kalle Rovanperä Edition and the GR Yaris RZ Sébastien Ogier Edition, with sales planned to be limited to 100 units each. Both drivers have been incorporated into interior and exterior changes and 4WD control, TGR-WRT-related special-experience programs are planned for special-edition purchasers with the hope that they will join in on the excitement of the WRC. The Ogier Edition comes in a new matte color called "Matte Stealth Gray". The Rovanperä Edition features three-tone paint, which is applied in motifs by the designer of the helmet that Rovanperä uses when rallying, for colors that are achieved only by painting and without the use of car wrap or other colored adhesive sheets. As Finland is the basis of Toyota in World Rally Championship, the Jari-Matti Latvala's team decided to paint Ogier's and Rovanpera's GR Yaris Rally1 car on the same color as their special production cars while Elfyn Evans and Takamoto Katsuta will run with the black livery which was revealed in the beginning of 2024 season.
