Fourmaux is in discussions with all WRC teams for 2025

Adrien Fourmaux confirms that he has started his discussions with Toyota, M-Sport Ford and Hyundai in order to secure a Rally1 seat next year as he believes that it is a good moment for negotiations.

The Frenchman rejoined M-Sport Ford at the top class as the #1 driver of the team and has claimed his maiden podium in World Rally Championship at Rally Sweden while he has finished in third place three more times this season. He is currently in fifth place on the championship standings and 13 points behind the fourth Elfyn Evans, but he has impressed with his performance and his consistency considering the bad season he had in 2022 when he was driving the Puma Rally1. Earlier this week, it was rumored that Hyundai is in talks with Fourmaux for a potential agreement as the Koreans may change their third-car policy and are searching for a full-time driver since Dani Sordo and Esapekka Lappi want to do a partial campagn in comparison with Andreas Mikkelsen who wants to be in a Rally1 car and to fight for the championship in 2025. However, Richard Millener responded to these rumors and said that M-Sport Ford is working very hard to retain Fourmaux next year and to give him a more competitive car while he believes that the Frenchman will not be the center of Hyundai and Toyota as all the people at British squad are around him right now. Last but not least, it must be mentioned that Takamoto Katsuta, Kalle Rovanpera and Elfyn Evans are set to continue with Toyota and may be joined by Sami Pajari while Thierry Neuville's future is uncertain in WRC and Hyundai is in discussions with Ott Tanak for a contract extension.

"I think it is the moment where we start the discussion", Fourmaux said.

"First of all, I hope I will be in a Rally1 car next year.

"As a driver, you need to be talking with everybody, and if you want to be a Rally1 driver there are three teams, so you need to speak with the three teams".
