Thierry Neuville believes that Sebastien Ogier is one of the most dangerous WRC title contenders considering his results this season as the Belgian can see that his rival is fighting for every single point.
Ogier agreed with Toyota for a part-time campaign in 2024 and he has won three times while he has finished in second place overall in three rallies so far. After his latest win in Finland last week, Ogier is now second on the championship and passed Ott Tanak and Elfyn Evans on the standings, but Neuville managed to increase further his lead to 27 points. Ogier has the chance to fight for his ninth title in World Rally Championship despite his part-time programme and is thinking of competing on the last four WRC rounds as he can close his gap from Neuville. Last but not least, the most impressive is that the eight-time WRC Champion has taken part in six rallies so far this season and managed to be at the podium positions in all of his participations.
"Number two, which is Mr Ogier at the moment", Neuville answered when he was asked who his main rival is after Rally Finland.
"He may not feel it like pushing for a title but he has been there on the last rallies and he's fighting for every single point.
"For sure I'm thinking about him".
