Rally Finland - 3rd Day - 1st Loop: Rovanpera triples his lead, transmission issues hit Evans

At the end of Saturday morning, Kalle Rovanpera remains out in front in Finland with Sebastien Ogier and Thierry Neuville following him.

Kalle Rovanpera built a safety net around his rally lead by dominating in all stages on Saturday morning while he said that he had a problem on the start line of SS11 as his Yaris shut off itself.

Sebastien Ogier gained one place this morning and does the 1-2 for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT while he was beaten by Rovanpera for only one tenth of a second in Stage 13.

Thierry Neuville completes the top three and said at the end of SS11 that he had no grip on the rear of his i20N.

Adrien Fourmaux remains behind Neuville on the classification with their gap being at 28,1 seconds and is the only M-Sport Ford driver remained for this day.

Sami Pajari climbed to fifth position overall on his Rally1 debut with the GR Yaris and is not been threatened as the following drivers on the classification are from WRC2 class.

Elfyn Evans dropped from second to fifth overall at the end of Stage 12 as his Yaris suffered from transmission issues and he had a half spin in that stage. However, he completes his Saturday morning in eighth place as he lost more than four minutes at "Ouninpohja" stage.

Takamoto Katsuta and Esapekka Lappi restarted today under the SuperRally regulations following their retirements due to suspension damage on Friday.

EP was the second-fastest driver in Stage 12, but he stopped to change a front right puncture which happened after a jump as the front right of his i20N landed off the road into the grass.

Gregoire Munster was seventh overall at the end of Friday, but he lost the rear of his Puma on the exit of a corner and went off the road 4.6Km into the opening stage of Saturday.
