At the end of Saturday morning, Thierry Neuville is now leading Acropolis Rally with Dani Sordo and Sebastien Ogier following him.
Thierry Neuville moved ahead of his teammate Dani Sordo on the final stage of Saturday morning and was the fastest driver on the opening stage of Saturday. Moreover, the Belgian changed some settings to his i20N's set-up and was feeling more comfortable on the final two stages of the morning.
Dani Sordo moved up to first place at the end of Stage 7 when his teammate Ott Tanak had to stop twice in order to change two wheels, but he lost his lead in Stage 9 when he suffered from a right rear delaminated tyre.
Sebastien Ogier gained one place taking advantage over Tanak's problems and completes the top three while he was the fastest driver in Stage 8 and 9. In addition to that, he was beaten by Neuville for 0,2 seconds in Stage 7.
Ott Tanak lost the lead of Acropolis Rally at the end of Stage 7 as he had to stop twice to change two wheels. More specifically, he stopped to change a rear right puncture 5.6 Km into SS7 and had to pull over again just one minute after his first change.
Elfyn Evans remains outside the top ten and started third on the road today.
Takamoto Katsuta and Adrien Fourmaux restarted under the SuperRally regulations today following their retirements on Friday.
Fourmaux reported an anti-roll bar issue with his Puma at the end of Stage 9 resulting in struggling with the rear.
Gregoire Munster went off the road 5.8 Km into Stage 9 and his Puma was stuck into a ditch. He gained two places at the end of Stage 8 and was the top M-Sport Ford driver as he was fifth overall since yesterday.
