Rossel plans to be promoted as a Rally1 driver in 2025

Yohan Rossel says that he proved that he has the speed this year and his plan is to secure a Rally1 seat for next year as his dream is to fight against the best drivers in the world.

The Frenchman has been driving for Citroen Racing in WRC2 class since 2022, but he has not won a title yet. He is in the fight with Oliver Solberg and Sami Pajari for this year's championship, but Rossel is 25 and 22 points behind them respectively with three rounds remaining until the season finale in Japan. However, the title chances are in favor of Solberg who has won three rallies so far this season compared to Rossel who has been victorious only once. Last but not least, Rossel was very close to become a WRC2 Champion from 2022 to 2023, but he has lost the crown from Emil Lindholm and Andreas Mikkelsen respectively while there is any rumor about him and a WRC team for the upcoming season.

"For sure, I think the championship is very important for the constructor", Rossel said.

"But for the driver, I think the best is to prove the speed.

"And this year, I proved the speed everywhere.

"I don’t know if I am ready for the Rally1, but I think now it’s quite good.

"For sure, the plan is to be a Rally1 driver.

"In my dream, the plan is just to fight with the best level in my motorsport.

"If I want to fight for the great championship, it’s in Rally1.

"I don’t know what happens at the end of the year, but for sure, now I can pass".
