Toyota confirmed earlier that Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin are forced to retire at the end of Stage 11 following their roll.
The Welshman was outside the top ten since Stage 2 where his Yaris carried turbo issues and managed to get some positions back today. In fact, he was 13th overall at the end of Stage 10, but he lost more than five minutes in Stage 11 when he clipped a cut in a very slow hairpin and rolled his Yaris 16.8Km into SS11. The spectators helped him and Martin to get moving again, but he immediately stopped 20.1Km into SS11 in order to let Sebastien Ogier pass. His Yaris was heavily damaged and the windscreen was cracked while Evans seemed to be worried if he would be able to continue and to compete at the superspecial stage which will be held tonight. Eventually, the Japanese team decided to retire the car #33 in order the mechanics to do the necessary repairs ahead of the final day in Greece.
