CER - 2nd Day - 2nd Loop: Neuville remains out in front, 2nd place fight tightens



At the end of Friday, Thierry Neuville still remains at the top of the overall classification with Sebastien Ogier and Ott Tanak following him.

Thierry Neuville extended his gap after his having set the fastest time in Stage 7 and has left Sebastien Ogier behind for 6,4 seconds.

The Frenchman was the fastest driver in Stage 8 and beat Neuville for 0,5 seconds in that stage.

Ott Tanak remains at the top three and is just 1,4 seconds behind Ogier, but he reeled in the last one at the end of Stage 7 as their gap was at 0,6 seconds.

Elfyn Evans is in fourth place overall, but he dropped many seconds to Tanak at the end of SS8 due to brake issues as the Welshman was hust 0,2 seconds behind Tanak.

Takamoto Katsuta completes the top five and is 23,5 seconds behind Evans.

Sami Pajari keeps his sixth place and had a huge moment in Stage 7 as he flew over a jump.

Adrien Fourmaux was not able to match the pace of his rivals and is still seventh while he had no hybrid power since Stage 7.

Gregoire Munster completes the 7-8 for M-Sport Ford and he and his teammate made some changes to their Puma at the remote service zone for the final two stages of Friday.
