As the championship heads to the twelfth WRC round of the season, Thierry Neuville can put an end to his rivals' hopes to clinch his maiden title in the series, but how the Belgian driver can become a WRC Champion at Central European Rally?
Thierry Neuville is the championship leader since the end of Rallye Monte Carlo and reels in winning his first title in World Rally Championship, but also become the first Hyundai driver who will achieve that. Ott Tanak, Sebastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans are his main rivals and are 29, 41 and 46 points behind the Belgian respectively. Evans's chances are very tiny and needs to gain at least 17 points more than Neuville in Central Europe next week while Neuvillewould need to have a less successful rally. Moreover, Sebastien Ogier would need to outperform Neuville by more than 10 points and must secure a higher position or score significantly more points in this event, while Neuville must score fewer points in comparison. Finally, Ott Tanak can take his internal fight with Neuville in Japan if he is able to score 29 points more than his teammate in Central Europe.
