The team principal of M-Sport Ford, Richard Millener, says that his team's plans are in the air for the 2025 season as they believe that it is very early to decide their squad for next year.
Adrien Fourmaux had been promoted as the #1 driver of M-Sport Ford for 2024 and has managed to finish in the podium positions four times so far this season while he claimed his maiden Powerstage win. However, his name has been linked to Hyundai for 2025 and it is matter of time to announce their deal which means that M-Sport Ford must find a proper driver for next season. Gregoire Munster is Fourmaux's teammate, but he had not delivered the results that the team wanted whereas Martins Sesks was impressive on the three outings he had with the Puma earlier this season as he was fighting for the top places against the three WRC Champions (Sebastien Ogier, Ott Tanak and Kalle Rovanpera) at Rally Latvia. Another option for the Malcolm Wilson's team is Oliver Solberg who has shown a mature approach in WRC2 class this year, but the problem is that he has Monster Energy as his main sponsor whereas M-Sport Ford tries to renew its sponsorship with Red Bull every year. Last but not least, it is rumored that Elfyn Evans may leave Toyota at the end of this season and return back to the blue oval for 2025.
"It is totally up in the air and nothing is signed with anybody, all options on the table as usual for M-Sport at this point in the year", Millener said.
"We want the strongest possible team we can get for two cars for next year and that is the goal and what we continue to push on".
