Rovanpera is ready for a full WRC programme in 2025

Kalle Rovanpera says that his batteries have recharged and is ready to make his comeback in World Rally Championship next year, but he does not rule out the possibility of racing on the tracks in the future.

The two-time WRC Champion made a step back this year as he signed a part-time contract with Toyota due to the fact that he wanted to take a rest and to relax mentally, but to take also part in other motorsport series, such as at Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux. He seems to have agreed with a nine-rally programme with Toyota for 2024, but he will not take part at Central European Rally next week as he replaced Sebastien Ogier at Rally Poland last June following his last one's recce accident. Last but not least, Toyota is defending its manufacturer title over Hyundai, thus it is more likely to see more GR Yaris Rally1 cars at Rally Japan next month including a potential appearance of Rovanpera with the Japanese car before the new season starts with Rallye Monte Carlo next January.

"I think my batteries have recharged", Rovanpera said.

"I am ready to come back and race a full season, even though it will be even longer and harder.

"As far as plans for 2025 are concerned, for sure I will do the whole season with Toyota in the WRC.

"I will come back to do the whole season.

"After that, I don't know anything yet about a possible track program.

"I would certainly still like to race on the track".
