The organizers of Rally Sweden announced the route of their event which will be held on February 13-16 in 2025.
More specifically, the recce will last two days starting on Tuesday 11 February and ending on Wednesday 12 February. For the first time, Umea City will host the Shakedown stage, which will be held on Thursday at 09:01 local time, and the drivers can do some final adjustments to their car set-up. The PR activities will take place later after the end of the Shakedown session, but it is yet to be confirmed the time, while the superspecial stage "Umea Sprint" will be the opening stage of Rally Sweden and will be held at 19:05 local time.
The real action begins on Friday with seven stages and 124,08Km. Both loops will start with "Bygdsiljum" stage which is the longest stage of the day and has moved from Saturday to Friday for this year's version of Rally Sweden. Afterwards, the crews will head to "Andersvattnet" and to "Bäck" which are two brand-new stages with 20,60 and 10,80 competitive kilometers in distance. The morning loop concludes with "Bäck" whereas the second pass from "Umea Sprint" will end the Friday action.
Saturday also contains seven stages, but the total distance is at 103,04Km. The two loops begin with "Vännäs" and "Sarsjöliden" which have remained the same as in 2024 in terms of their distance. The third stage of both loops is the brand-new "Kroksele" which is the longest stage of the day with 16,60Km. The afternoon loop concludes with the first pass from "Umea" at 18:05 local time.
The final day of Rally Sweden includes three stages and 88,86 kilometers. The crews will run throughout "Västervik" back to back which has been lengthened by four kilometers in comparison with the 2024 version and is the longest stage of the rally with 29,40Km. The second pass from "Umea" will host the Powerstage which will define the top three winning crews of Rally Sweden 2025. However, the organizers have not confirmed yet where the top three crews will receive their trophies and the podium ceremony will take place.
Totally, the Rally Sweden of 2025 includes 18 stages and 301,16 competitive kilometers in distance.
