Adrien Fourmaux is talking about the moments he had with M-Sport Ford and reflects on his rallying career with them saying that this is not a goodbye.
The Frenchman started driving a Ford car back in 2017 while he made his competed in some rounds at the top level with the Fiesta WRC in 2021. In 2022, M-Sport Ford offered to him a full-season campaign, but he was forced to miss Acropolis Rally when he had a massive crash at Ypres Rally resulting in damaging the chassis of his Puma Rally1. In 2023, M-Sport Ford demoted him by signing him in WRC2 class and at the same time he participated in British Rally Championship where he became a BRC Champion that year. After his achievements in WRC2 class and in BRC, M-Sport Ford promoted him as the #1 driver in 2024 where he managed to finish at the lowest place of the podium five times, to take a maiden Powerstage win and to lead a rally for the first time in his career. It was rumored since last summer that he would join Hyundai Motorsport for 2025 and eventually the confirmation came earlier this week as Fourmaux will pilot the third i20N and will have Thierry Neuville and Ott Tanak as his teammates.
"I came to M-Sport at the end of 2018 as a really young driver taking care of the new Rally2 as a mechanic, and ending up now with victories and a podium in all classifications", Fourmaux said.
"I’ve learned so much with the team, especially Malcolm who has always been taking care of my career and development.
"I drove an M-Sport Ford car for all of my career since 2017 and I owe a lot to the whole team.
"We’ve had some ups and downs, but we’ve always been a family who is dedicated to the most demanding sport in the world.
"Thank you to Malcolm and the whole team for all the memories we had together.
"This is not a goodbye, but a ‘see you next time’".
