Malcolm Wilson and Richard Millener are talking highly of Adrien Fourmaux after his departure from M-Sport Ford at the end of 2024 as he will join Hyundai Motorsport next year.
Hyundai Motorsport announced earlier today that Adrien Fourmaux will drive the third i20N Rally1 and will have Ott Tanak and Thierry Neuville as his teammates in 2025. The Frenchman secured five podiums this year and returned back to the top class of World Rally Championship in 2024 as he lost his place over Tanak and Pierre-Louis Loubet at M-Sport Ford in 2023 due to lack of results. Furthermore, he took his first ever Powerstage win and led an event for the first time in his career earlier this year while he impressed everyone with his consistency and his achievements as he was driving a less competitive car compared to the other two cars. So far, it remains unknown when he will start testing his new car ahead of the 2025 season, but the pre-season test usually begins on December.
"I have been incredibly impressed with Adrien’s performances this year and he has truly shown himself to be one of the future stars of our sport", Malcolm Wilson said.
"Despite the challenges he has faced so far in his career, he has demonstrated a commendable level of grit and determination and comes away from every experience stronger than before.
"His partnership with Alex has helped to facilitate the growth we’ve seen in him and I believe they are an excellent pairing to take on this next phase of their careers together.
"They have been an integral part of the M-Sport team for many years now and will certainly be missed by everyone here.
"I look forward to seeing what the future brings for them".
Finally, Richard Millener stated: "It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Adrien and Alex over the last few years.
"It has been especially rewarding to watch and see their development over the last two years, growing into true professional athletes.
"Sharing the joy of the five podiums this year has been really special and I know that the whole team and myself will really miss not having them around.
"Finally, total respect to both of them - they have made this opportunity for themselves through hard work and determination and they fully deserve this next chapter of their story".
