The team principal of M-Sport Ford, Richard Millener, says that the target of his team is to have more than two entries in selected number of rallies being happy with this year's line-up.
The Malcolm Wilson's team confirmed that Gregoire Munster will be the leading driver of M-Sport Ford and will have Josh McErlean as his teammate this year who will make his WRC debut. As Adrien Fourmaux signed a full-season contract with Hyundai Motorsport, M-Sport Ford could only sign two young drivers considering the fact that it is a semi-manufacturer team and has the lowest budget compared to Hyundai and to Toyota. However, it is expected that there will be four Pumas in Sweden next month as Munster, McErlean, Jourdan Serderidis and Martins Sesks will compete on the second WRC round. Last but not least, it is rumored that the last one will participate in five rallies with the Puma this year, but we do not know exactly which ones.
"Our target is to field more than two cars on selected events", Millener said.
"It is going to be a challenge this year and we have to be very realistic as to what is achievable.
"The goal was to stay in the championship, that was the key thing which is harder than it has ever been before, and losing Adrien was obviously a massive blow but we just have to live with that.
"The goal was to find two drivers to allow us to continue.
"The goal was always to keep Gregoire in the car for a few seasons to give him a chance to develop, so having a second year with him is great but it will come with pressure as he will be seen as the number one, and with that comes expectation, but that is external, not internal.
"We want to see him continue from how he finished last year which was setting competitive times, and Josh has got the biggest challenge of everybody, so the approach of being very sensible will be key.
"I think having two youngsters gaining knowledge with no pressure can be a nice team environment and can help us go forward".

It would be good if a big lottery winner could fund Secks for a few more events
