Rallye Monte Carlo - 1st Day: Ogier's mistake puts Neuville out in front

At the end of Thursday, Thierry Neuville is leading Rallye Monte Carlo with Elfyn Evans and Sebastien Ogier following him.

Thierry Neuville managed to gain two positions and is the leader of Rallye Monte Carlo after Sebastien Ogier's mistake in Stage 3. In fact, he was behind Evans for 0,5 seconds at the end of Stage 1, but he was able to overtake the last one in Stage 2.

Elfyn Evans comes right behind the 2024 WRC Champion for two seconds and was the fastest driver in SS3.

Sebastien Ogier dropped from first to third overall at the end of Stage 3 when he hit a pole sideways and had to reverse in order to continue. However, he was the fastest driver on the first two stages of the day.

Ott Tanak passed Adrien Fourmaux on the classification at the end of SS3 and is now in fourth position as the Frenchman had a bad feeling with his i20N in SS3.

Fourmaux is just three seconds behind his teammate Tanak while he was fighting with Evans for the third place as their gap was at 0,2 seconds at the end of SS2.

Kalle Rovanpera is sixth overall and left behind Takamoto Katsuta for 9,4 seconds.

Gregoire Munster, Sami Pajari and Nikolay Gryazin complete the top ten.

Josh McErlean is outside the top ten on his debut with the Puma Rally1.
