At the end of Friday morning, Elfyn Evans is the new rally leader in Monte Carlo with Sebastien Ogier and Adrien Fourmaux following him.
Elfyn Evans stole Thierry Neuville's lead at the end of Stage 4 with their gap being only at 0,8 seconds.
Sebastien Ogier does the 1-2 for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT taking advantage over Neuville's mistake in Stage 6.
Adrien Fourmaux gained two places and is now third overall while he set the fastest time in Stage 6.
Gregoire Munster moved up to fourth place overall by setting the second-fastest time in SS4 and SS6.
Ott Tanak comes right behind the M-Sport Ford driver for 0,5 seconds and lost many seconds in Stage 6 when he went into a ditch resulting in damaging heavily the rear of his i20N.
Only 0,1 seconds separate the sixth Kalle Rovanpera from Tanak who was the fastest driver in Stage 4.
Takamoto Katsuta follows his teammate for 51,9 seconds while he left Sami Pajari behind for 30,7 seconds. The last one hit a bank just 5 Km before the finish of SS6.
Thierry Neuville dropped from second to ninth place overall at the end of SS6 as he lost the brakes 8.6Km into the stage resulting in the rear left wheel hanging off his car and running his i20N into a ditch.
Josh McErlean remains outside the top ten.
Stage 5 was cancelled.
