Rallye Monte Carlo - 2nd Day - 2nd Loop: Position switch for Toyota as Ogier climbs the order


At the end of Friday evening, Sebastien Ogier is now leading Rallye Monte Carlo with Elfyn Evans and Adrien Fourmaux following him.

Sebastien Ogier moved up to first place overall at the end of Stage 8 as he was the fastest driver and took advantage over Elfyn Evans's mistake there.

Evans drops from first to second when he had a half spin in Stage 8 resulting in losing the lead of Rallye Monte Carlo.

Adrien Fourmaux is still third overall, but he is now closer to Evans as their gap is at 1,6 seconds.

Kalle Rovanpera gained two positions since the morning and is now fourth overall, but his place is under threat by the fifth Ott Tanak.

Gregoire Munster dropped from fourth to sixth overall at the end of Stage 7 while he suffered from a front right puncture in Stage 8. 

Takamoto Katsuta follows the M-Sport Ford driver for four seconds.

Sami Pajari remains in eighth position overall and stayed out of trouble throughout the loop.

Thierry Neuville had a front left puncture in Stage 9 resulting in dropping from eighth to ninth.
