M-Sport Ford announced today that Martins Sesks will have a six-round programme with them this year starting from Rally Sweden.
The young Latvian driver impressed everyone with his performances a year ago, especially on his debut at Rally Poland where he was driving the non-hybrid Puma and finshed second on Firday morning while he set the fastest time in one stage. At his home event, he was fighting for the top positions with the three WRC Champions (Kalle Rovanpera, Sebastien Ogier and Ott Tanak), but he finished outside the top ten due to transmission issues with the hybrid Puma in Powerstage. Despite the fact that the Malcolm Wilson's team confirmed Josh McErlean and Gregoire Munster as its regular drivers for this season, Martins Sesks managed to secure a six-rally campaign with M-Sport Ford which will start from Rally Sweden next month. Last but not least, it must be mentioned that he will also take part in Portigal, Sadinia, Greece, Estonia and Finland.
"We are very excited to continue our collaboration with the M-Sport Ford World Rally Team this year!", Sesks said.
"We feel truly honored that our debut in the WRC’s Rally1 league last year has fostered such trust from both M-Sport and SafetyCulture.
"Additionally, the genuine interest from both long-standing and new sponsors from Latvia in supporting our efforts is very thrilling!
"This opportunity provides us with immense motivation to further our journey in the WRC’s Rally1 class.
"As we look ahead to the 2025 season, we anticipate many new challenges, but we are more motivated than ever and ready to learn, all while bringing joy to our fans.
"The chance to compete half of the 2025 WRC season promises to deliver invaluable experience for the years to come".
