The WRC crews ask an immediate meeting with FIA in order to discuss the last one's policy on giving fines for inappropriate language.
The drivers of the World Rally Championship (WRC) have founded the WORDA organization in response to the penalty imposed on Adrien Fourmaux at the end of Rally Sweden. The French driver was fined after using inappropriate language during his Powerstage interview. As a result, the FIA issued a €10,000 fine, along with an additional €20,000 suspended fine, which will be enforced if he repeats the offense.
All WRC crews have shown their support for Fourmaux, standing in solidarity with him. Additionally, they have requested a meeting with the FIA to discuss the matter and express their concerns regarding the new FIA policy, which they strongly oppose. The situation highlights growing tensions between the governing body and the drivers, raising questions about the balance between professional conduct and emotional expression in the sport.
